Got an ugly sweater? Like beer? Want to help the brave, young patients at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital by providing unwrapped toys? Join us December 6th!. We’ll have a tasty cheese & charcuterie platter courtesy of the Windsor Locks Deli to accompany happy hour along with a few treats to compliment our house beer + cider, wine & soft drinks.
We shoehorned Hopigarchy - our one and only Double IPA - into the brew schedule because you drank all our IPA! 2 batches of Stiltwalker and a batch of Staircar plus several hoppy variants are all gone! So, even though we will be cutting it super close, we are pushing to have that available to you this week! – Available This Week, hopefully…
Make no mistake, Rozata is a Belgian-Style Golden ale first. We just took a few gallons of it and made it extra festive by refermenting it on 100% organic cherry juice. This second fermentation naturally carbonates the beer and is inpired by the Belgian practice of preserving the harvest by refermenting it with fruit that would otherwise spoil. – Available This Week, if we have tap space for it
We’ve had a few production hiccups related to raw ingredient delays, so we decided to pivot and brew a 100% Thrall Malt beer with extremely local CT grown & malted grains. Malt I can pickup on my way to the brewery from the guy who grows and malts it. This beer, called Mantello (“wrapper” in Italian, an hommage to the cigar wrappers Thrall used to grow) is a showcase of Thrall’s specialtiy ancient grain spelt. This beer has a relatively simple recipe and is very gently hopped to really explore & highlight the subtle, unique characteristics of spelt. – Just Brewed, Available Mid-December
Until we catch up from our production hiccup we will be limiting growler fills to just the beers we have in abundance. For now that means: Bailiwick & Hopigarchy. (We will add Mantello once available.) We apologize for the inconvenience and will be brewing extra batches each week until we’re caught up.
