Black is Beautiful

We feel fortunate to participate in the Black is Beautiful initiative started by Marcus Baskerville, co-founder and head brewer at Weathered Souls. The issues ahead of us are much bigger than beer – but beer has always been a conversation starter for us, and we think this conversation is long overdue.

So we’re brewing an Imperial Stout. In the summer.

Marcus knew this would get people’s attention and we agree. Our riff on his recipe will be slightly lower in ABV than his original, but he has encouraged everyone to put their stamp on it. He also broadly outlined what kind of charity to support but left it to each brewery to choose an organization.

100% of proceeds from our beer will go to Campaign Zero, a non-profit committed to ending police violence thru policy change, training, and improved engagement between officers and the members of their community.
